The New Literacies Teacher Leader Institute will begin on Monday evening with an Institute Kick-Off Reception at the Contemporary Art Museum from 5:00 - 7:00 pm to welcome participants. Come to the reception prepared to work and socialize with the other participants and the Institute Leaders. Light refreshments will be served.

As a way to begin thinking about what it means to be a teacher leader, we would like for you to bring an artifact to the reception that is symbolic of your leadership in some way. The artifact can represent characteristics of your leadership style or characteristics of a great leader whom you admire. Think creatively and bring your artifact to share --you can wear it if applicable!
